Standard size of shock

Hi all... I have a Giant Anthem 29er x3 2013 with a fox float ctd rear shock.. Id like to replace it but need to know what the correct size would be and how to check it on mine... Any help

165mm eye to eye and 38mm stroke (6.5 x 1.5" in imperial)

Thanks, so can i replace with any 165mm with a similar travel or must it be exactly that size

Must be that measurement ie 165x38
