I will definately Krypton my pants when someone steals my bike. This is becoming a big thing now at cycle races it seems. Hope you get it back asap and that the flees of a hundred desert camels enter the thieves arse to lay millions of eggs and never come out again.

I think they mentioned 3 over the loudspeaker. but that was probably around 12

Look I know they said parking at your own risk, but why even have these racks if they are clearly a convenience for thieves and of no use for the (paying) participants.

Good News

 

Thanks to the stellar work and initiatives of the Stellenbosch Police and Local Bike Shop Community, my Bike has been found and will be reunited with me after all Police paper work is finalised.

 

Also, thanks to this community for the platform, as the key to finding the bike was the quick dissemination of information via various platforms.

 

The perpetrator is behind bars as we speak, and the police believe that they will be successful in getting a search warrant even today to search his premises for likely other stolen bicycles/goods. As middleman, he was caught red handed trying to sell the bike on the street by the visible policing unit.  The original thieve however is also known to the police.

 

So Big Up to Stellenbosch Police and Flandria, BMT, Specialized Stellenbosch, Mason's bike shop and others for your efforts and initiatives.
