Wayne is actually right now building me a set of 27.5 wheels with the 27mm internal width. They should be great. His service and advice is fantastic.

I am looking at these wheels as a possible upgrade for next year. Using the rapide 34t oval ring at the moment and might pull the trigger on a 32T oval for tje Magoebaskloof MTB race

I have x2 sets of R29-21 wheels; one for my Mercer gravel/CX/tourer/roadie (32mm tyres @ 5bar) and one for my Niner RIP9 (2.3" tyres at 1.5bar)

All I can say is that generally equipment does not last very long under me, and these wheels have been faultless on both bikes.

On the road, I hop kerbs, ride gravel and ride the shoulder of the road freely regardless of potholes etc. and in the mountain, I've ripped my front tyre off failing a jump (my own stupidity) then proceeded to ride down to my car with only 0.2bar in the front tyre... long story short, both wheelsets are still running perfectly true.

Rapide's hubs are awesome too, so easy to take care of and switching axle standards is a breeze.

Gonna order x2 more sets soon (x1 27.5" set and another 29" set)
