The rear tire keeps on deflating but it only happens when I am riding it. It will deflate to just under 1bar and then will sty there.

(No there is no hole or  puncher).

When I am not riding it it keeps the pressure.

I am using alexrims dm18 with Kenda Small Block 8.

I fist had the Stand tubeless conversion done on it and I have also tried the conversions listed here on the HUB.

Please do any one have an Idea what could be the problem here?????

is the tyre a ust, folding or normal?

One normally finds that the casing in the tyres other than ust are too thin and dont hold pressure.

I know a couple of people using SB8 wit out problems.

The front tire keeps its pressure it is just the rear and only when you ride it wen not riding it it will keep the pressure.

I am also using folding SB8s and they do tend to loose some air on rides. I suspect the lateral flex in the tyre causes the tyre to 'burp' some of its air out. I just make sure I start the ride at 2 bar

How long have you been running them? If Stan's website says it's fine to use it, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a tubeless specific tyre.

You can still use it, but in my experience Kenda tyres sometimes take a while longer before they seal properly due to the lower tpi rating of the casing.

It might be the issue...?

I Know this sound stuped Smile but i bought a MTB with tubless tires, and yesterday i got a flat Angry  Only use to tube tire! So how do i get it repair and how in the hell do i get my tire pump up to get the hole?

You go to your LBS and have them put some sealant in the tyre and inflate it. The sealant will prevent punctures. If you are a home mechanic, just buy a bottle and do it yourself. Top up every month or three.

Also buy a tubeless tyre repair kit for when the hole is too big for the sealant to work. In this case, the leaking sealant will indicate where exactly the hole is. Get the shop to show you how to use the repair kit. It works exactly the same as the repair inserts used for punctures on car tyres.

1: Does not matter if you got your granma's wheelchair tyres on they will seal

2: Bubbles caused by sealant in some tyres does not causes leaks but rather inbalance

3: If you don't have enough fluid you will puncture and walk home !

Back to your problem . I had the same thing happening to me . To tell the truth I did a few races like that . The tyre will pump to 3 but deflate slowly to about 1.5 and stay there . If could not find the problem ! smiley5.gif and lived with it ! Fortunately the tyre was fairly old and after replacing it before the S2C the problem went away . Now this tells me my problem had nothing to do with the valve or my rim .

The tire is about 3 months old.

And I inflate it to 2.5. I am going to try 3.5 this weekend and see what happens. The problem is then that I cant run it at lower pressure. So that means that I will have to replace it.

If it was the valve it will also deflate at any time and not just when you are riding.

What will a good replacement be?

Specialised The Captain 2Bliss(that's marketing idiot's speak for tubeless)....light, cheap and better performance overall than the mighty Kenda Nevegal....IMHO

I inflated it to 3.5 this weekend and it didn't deflate.

I was a bumpy ride (hard tail). So the problem is with the tire and not the wheel.

Will have to replace it.
