Races / Events - action camera not allowed mounted on helmet?

Hi all bikers, 

 

I was wondering if that is true as someone told me about the races/events is not allowed to use action camera. Or it is only the helmet that is not allowed? What about other like handlebar or under seat is allowed. Isn't that correct and please tell me why? 

 

If there is no races, will I allow to use GoPro mounted on helmet on any trails?

As far I know, its only CSA sanctioned events ,and anywhere except helmet is fine

Yep anywhere except helmet or chest is fine, basically the concern is that the camera can add an "un-designed/accounted for higher pressure point". some helmets are coming out with built in breakaway mountings which compensate for this - but try explain that to the CSA Comm at a race...
