Plett trails and routes

Arrived in Plett today for a family holiday and staying near Robberg Beach.

 

Went for a quick pedal around and just want to find out if there are any decent trails and routes around here?

 

I’ve read up about Harkerville and pretty keen to go check it out. Where should I type in my GPS to find my way there? Is it safe to travel by bike to the park?

Just travel towards knysna, 3ks after sasol garage u will see it on the right

Or you can cycle past the airport, 5ks on left you will see cairnbrogy farm

A good ride from Robberg is to ride along Robberg road to the N2, turn left. Stay on the N2 for about 3km to the Garden of Eden, turn left just after the concealed entrances sign. Follow the red arrows (Harkerville Red Route). Ride home. That's about 20km there, 20km loop (shortened cos of fires), and 20km home. Solid ride with a good mix of working and playing.

 

Edit: ride along Robberg Road away from Plett, past the airport.

 

Apparently there is another cool 25ish km loop starting at the Sanparks post just across the Keurbooms on the left (where you hire the canoes from) around up to the Crags and down through Keurbooms.

There is a nice ride from Diep Walle along old logging road. I think it ends up near Harkerville?

Cairnbroggie is good for a relaxed easy ride - beautiful scenery. Other trails connected to them as well. then of course the bike park trails - very very lekker - worth the effort (to ride out from plett that is)

Unfortunately not. I only found out about it the day before leaving. So didn't look into it that much.

We rolled with GM at Harkerville on Friday. By chance found out about it, and took the gap.
