Cost of Kiddies entries

I am amazed at the cost of kiddies entries for CTCT at R200 for 4kms/7kms. Last year another event also charged about the same for a 4km loop which most kids will do in a few minutes. Compared to adult entries, it is a complete rip off. These events are held in an enclosed space with a loop so the infra structure would not be the same as the adult routes that cuts across farms and roads.

 

For less money my son (7) did the 16km Durbie Dash.

 

But cmon CTCT, I know it is for charity and an 'experience' and a goodie bag but it is excessive in relation to adult entries. The CTCT Mtb challenge is R185 for 20km!

 

I also preferred the event at Youngsfield, a more interesting loop and ample parking.

 

I will give it a miss, but I'm sure lots of young ones will enjoy!.

Agree, it is indeed a rip-off. Don't think we are going to bother this year

If it is in and out of the hangers with some 40mil bofors thrown in it would be fun...they do still have hangers don't they
