Hi guys! Im looking for x2 Schrader valves for the new rims that i bought. Does anyone perhaps know where i can buy some? Ideally anodised red or black. Any advice is welcome (: Also, has anyone had any experience converting rims to tubeless with schrader before?

You can try Sportsmans warehouse i saw some Stan's stems at my local but they were normal silver

All cars have Schrader valves and are tubeless, so they work.

Getting a bicycle specific Schrader valve, I don't know. You could possibly mod a car valve.

Whether your rims will work for tubeless is another story.

Advice - don't use anodised anything if it comes into contact with sealant - valves or spoke nipples - they all eventually destroy themselves - occasionally catastrophically...

Thanks for the replies. Im happy to use a car valve but im not sure where i can find one. As for my rims, they are Spank Spoon 32 26.7mm inner 26" wheel size.

Tiger Wheel and Tyre, Quick Fit, Midas, Speedy, etc.

Hi ChrispyChips

I'm in Table View and got two valves for you. Mahala

Bought them for a fatbike, but rims not tubless.

A word of warning - you may have to "modify" them.

The Stans valves I have used in the past are flat where they meet the rim - most bicycle rims have a curved concave bed - I had to file off edges on both sides where the valve met the rim to get the o-ring to squash and seal.

It depends on the rim of course but when you install check that the o-ring gets crushed and that the edges of the valve are not being tightened against the rim. If they do it won't seal and you can't see where it isn't sealing and you swear, then you cry, then you fling it over the wall into the neighbours property*

*not based on a real story at all. I promise.

One of my mates used motorbike (tubeless)  schrader valves  in stead of the presta valve stems. Got them from a local bike shop in Strand somewhere. only comes in silver though

Would you consider ghetto tubeless?

I.e. use a 24" tube (easy to find schrader) which you put around the rim as "rim tape" with the value coming through. Then cut the tube down the seam, fold it over, mount the tyre, and cut the excess tube off. It's been covered quite a bit on the hub if you do a search. Also depends on your rims.

Do you use it with tubeless or non-tubeless tires?

Sorry for the slow reply. Haven't been on in a while.

I would always put tubeless tyres on. I don't trust non-tubeless and I value my teeth.
