I got some good advice and a couple of offers and in the end I ... failed miserably in the endeavour. Instead, courtesy of some good deals on the Hub, great prices from Totalcycling and some rather useful bikeshop contacts, I present my new, slightly more than R20k, carbon road bike:

Minion Posted June 1, 2008 Author Posted June 1, 2008 I went with the 58cm frame. I'll be tweaking the setup over the next few rides, but I already feel less stretched out than on my Merida. I get a big grin whenever I ride the bike. I think it'll take quite a while before that wears off

stringbean Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Great looking bike but whats with the stem and all the spacers underneath the stem.Are you sure the frame is the right size for you?
