neau7lll Posted March 22, 2018 Share 2 Years ago I dislocated my elbow, my Ulna dislocated severely and this caused my Radial head to be smashed. Had to get replacement surgery as it kept dislocating. I got up to 95% movement back in my elbow and about 80% in my wrist. Doc told me that cycling and lifting weights is really not recommended.. what does he know right? So I have been cycling since I could hold the bars without any real issues - realising that a bad fall could end up disastrous. Lately I've had some pain in my forearm and wrist as well as partial numbness or pins and needles - likely to be caused by the Ulna nerve. Any other riders here that had the same unfortunate injury? do I wait it out and hope time heals it or do I go back to my orthopedic with the symptoms? cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Or another ortho who specialises in sports-related injuries and is cognisant of your particular needs & requirements, who will give you the short and sweet answer of either "you're fine, carry on" or "don't be a ****, you need to wait and recover properly" Personally, I suspect that you went back to MTB too soon. I definitely did rush into things, but I am very aware of the injury and its implications.
