Scott RC900 or 920?

Need some advice here please - I'm in the market for a new MTB as an upgrade to my current Scott hard tail and looking at a DS.

I dont have experience with SRAM components so I am unable to compare to Shimano really.  I can get the RC900 and 930 at the same price.  I am kind of set on the RC900 due to the more aggresive geometry. I was comparing the components betweent the two and apart from the 1x11 configuration on the RC900 the components appear to be a bit better than the 930.

I can now get the 920 also at the same price.  How do the 920 and RC900 rate ito quality of components (I dont have experience with SRAM) - help please.....??

In truth you cannot compare the two on parts value.

The COMP has an allu frame and the 920 is carbon which will give the frames alone completely different characteristics.

The COMP has 100mm of travel that makes it an aggressive XC/Marathon focussed bike and the 920 120mm travel with a slacker head angle that puts it in a "milder" trail bike segment.

It all depends on what kind of riding you do, IMHO the 900series (non RC) is the perfect bike for the average Joe in SA.

The 920 would be my pic of the crop, the geometry gives a fun ride and the Eagle groupset gives a good range of gears, accompanied by the 120mm travel and a dropper post as standard it would be the ultamate all round playbike for me.

What model Scott are you coming from and what kind of riding do you usually do(terrain and distance)?

I have a very old Scott Comp Racing 2 hard tail I still use, also with aggresive geometry which I prefer, so i made the call to go with the RC900 Comp. its should be more than sufficient for my ability.

Well congrats then, I'm sure you'll enjoy it especially coming from a hardtail and being use to agressive geometry.????
