FAW80 - 480km ride from Calvinia to Cape Town

At the end of April we did our annual charity ride to raise money for Fisantekraal Animal Welfare

 

480kms in 30 hours from Calvinia to Cape Town

 

The corrugations through the Tankwa Karoo was a killer! First time since the start of this event that I did not manage to complete the whole ride.

That is a particularly shitty road....I call it the tyre eater.

Couple I know once did a tandem road ride from CT to JHB over Van Ryhns Pass through Calvinia on December and the died with the wind.I would not mind doing Calvinia to CT on the road

Trust me Kranswurm... That gravel road from Calvinia killed us all. The corrugation was non stop. But i will do it again in a heartbeat.
