BrokeSpoke Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 In today's age of televised sporting events, how often have you appeared on TV ?? Rate yourself by this superseeding points method: Points are awarded for the following appearance on TV:1 point : For any part of your anatomy that might flash across the screen in a split second.2 points: If any part of that anatomy is on screen long enough for your friends and family or mother to identify as belonging to you.3 points: If you are on camera long enough that you could be identified by a stranger in a police line up.5 points: If your caught on camera making a 'smart' coment!! (-5 if it was stupid).10 points: Speaking roles !! (That don't include the sentence: "Yisslike my legs/ass is saw")
BrokeSpoke Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Well I'll get the poll started by scoring myself 3 points for three seperate moments on last nights panorama tour highlights package (blink and you would have missed them). Another 10 for a speaking roll (but I'll minus five because the interview was on the bike up Long Tom's pass and I was so bombed you can't understand a word!)
Gert Janse v Rensburg Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 they almost alway catch me helping peeps and then want to talk to me....-5 for the time they caught me kotching behind a tree.....
Chrispy Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Narcissism as defined by PsychiatryNarcissism is a term first used in relation to human thought and behavior by the Austrian physician and psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. Narcissism is a set of character traits concerned with self-admiration, self-centeredness and self-regard. Everyone has some narcissistic traits. However, narcissism can also manifest in an extreme pathological form in some personality disorders such as Narcissistic Personality Disorder wherein the patient overestimates his abilities and has an excessive need for admiration and affirmation. This may be present to such a degree that it severely damages the person's ability to live a productive or happy life because the traits manifest as severe selfishness and disregard for the needs and feelings of others.
davidd Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I've been on the front page of the Generation Next 2008 youth brand awards supplement in the Sunday Times TV/Radio/Newspaper... same thing...
fiasm Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 how does one interpret the title? Is it '(come) F$%$ me, I'm famous' or 'F$% me!! I'm famous!!
rad006 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Ive been on 94.7 Twice, tour de soweto and a few other non cycling programs... The tricycle is hard to miss
Domestiquehated Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Just a small note: the mathematical notation is incorrect (hey this isn't spelling or grammar!)... The options should read> 2010-201-90 My answer is 0 because I don't have a television. But if I did have, I am sure there would be some points. This poses an interesting philosophical question: if a rider appears in some footage, but does not see it, is s/he in fact famous? Or for that matter, did s/he even participate in the event? And please note that this is all my own work - any correlation to other rantings by crazy philosophers about trees and forests will be strongly denied...
Joe Low Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Me & 3 mates had a photo & article in the Limurgersdagblatt newspaper whilst cycling across Holland circa 1981. Did a radio show for a couple of weeks on a temporary station over Xmas in the early 90s, with a 5 mile radius - announcing bin collection times in-between James Brown tracks. ...and then there were the cabarets.
