Anyone else notice Probike got the Scott agency?

Who did Scott previously?

They appeared to have started off with a bang a few years back and then just fizzeled away.!

Personally, I dont see how Pro-bike can do justice to all the brands in their stable, some of them must suffer at the expense of the other.

But at the end of the day a supplier also looks at the financial capabilities and stability of the distributor, and even if their sales slow, they obviously feel they have a financially stable and economically sound partner in PRO-BIKE.

I think I am wrong and hope I am but I think they have too much on their plate and they are letting the other brands slip a bit. It's only Raleigh that get most of their attention. THe BBB stuff is minumalistic (sp?), the Pedro's you hardly see. Nortwave is only here and there. I've never seen a Selev helmet in the shops. You only have about 3 choices in Maxxis tyres. They need individual brand managers and not 1 manager for all the brands.

Mampara, I see your concerns, but especially regarding brand managers things have changed at Probike. In January 2007 Probike had 1 product manager for all brands including Raleigh. Now there is me for Raleigh Elite and Trail bikes, Robbie Powell for Raleigh Sports, international sales and Intense, Albert Retief for aftermarket brands (by the way, we sell Uvex helmets) and since a few weeks a new brand manager for Scott. So I think even if we distribute more brands now than in the past we hopefully can do them more justice than in the past. Especially for Scott Probike will employ some more people in future, including a tech and warranty manager. If we can't do justice to a brand like Scott we'll lose the distribution immediately.

Maybe you guys will answer e-mails in the future. Think not. Was looking for a part and as you guys stock these bikes I'm still waiting for a response 6 weeks later. I fell sorry for Scott riders.

Thanks Jan. I meant Uvex, the new ones that MTN is riding.

Onetime, I've been communicating with Albert Retief and he always gets back to me.

Onetime, the reason is that we had a glitch in our system, and we apologise for that on our website.

So what is your question? Maybe I know the answer.

Rear hanger on the RM4. Are they model specific or would one from the RM5 or RM7 work on the RM4?

Hi OneTime.

We actually had a problem with our website queries for more than a month. We have posted an apology on the Raleigh website for not answering the queries, and we have asked that people re-submit any queries they may have had. This is unfortunate and regrettable, but these things do happen. If you mail me with your problem I will be happy to follow it up.

Hey, I can help you there. I bought a RM7 hanger and it fits my RM4. Not cheap though if you think what it is. Almost bought a new RM4 just for the spares.
