New computer for plotting a ride - help please?

My Garmin 800 seems to have given up on me as I am no longer able to plot a trip I wish to ride.

 

By the means of this forum, is anybody able to assist in recommending a computer which will do the job?

 

There seem to be many to choose from but I thought I would sound out the clever people here who know about this stuff. I am clueless and just want to sort of copy and paste.

Wahoo Elemnt seeing as the YouTuber I follow Francis Cade and his riding partners use the same device.

 

They are riding from San Diego to Portland. That is almost the entire west coast of the US.

 

They use Komoot to plan their trips and simply sync it to their devices and problem solved.
 

I am voting for the Elemnt simply of the price and it is a great unit!

 

But for utterly pure navigation I think the Garmin 1030 is the clear winner.

I have the Wahoo Element and its a great device.  Don't get a Polar.  My wife has a V650 and it is absolutely rubbish compared to the Wahoo IMHO.
