Goggles for Leatt DBX 3.0 Enduro Helmet

Anybody here that's riding with the Leatt DBX 3.0 Enduro helmet that can recommend goggles that fit nicely on them.  I have tried a few goggles from a MX shop but they don't feel comfortable.

The helmet is not as big and wide as a normal full face and I think that makes the fit a bit different.  The foam on the goggles I have tried press against my face under my eyes, a bit too close to my eyes and it creates some irritation.  Is this normal with goggles on MTB helmets or do you get some that fit better than others?

I don't want to buy a pair of goggles that irritates me when I ride, especially when I go downhill and need to concentrate a bit more.

I've never had a full face helmet and I've never rode with goggles so I'm not sure how they should feel.

This is a tough one to try guage on your behalf, as you have not ever worn goggles.

I am getting a new lid (same as yours soon), so I will try give some feedback in a few weeks, if that helps.

In the meantime, try see if you can get some info on the new Oakley ranges. They make a MTB specific version of O-Frame, which I used to use in my motorbike days. they great goggles.

Good luck

Try have a look at the Fox goggles

I've got 100% and Fox and whilst they both work with my ProFrame the Fox's are a little narrower and that might be what you are looking for on the Leatt helmet.

Ok cool, thanks for the replies.  From what I hear is that some manufactures like 100% makes MX goggles that are used as MTB goggles but are not specific for MTB and then you get some that makes goggles that are specific for MTB.

I will keep looking and fitting different models but getting your hands on a pair to fit is not so easy.  No MTB shops keep them in stock and the MX shops I have visited are out of stock on most of their 100% goggles.  I have fitted the 100% racecraft and some Von Zipper models and the Racecraft fits the best but not perfect.  I am waiting for them to get the 100% Accuri in stock so I can fit that as well.

Any shops you guys can point me to in Somerset West, Cape Town area where I can find some more goggles to fit.

The line between MX and DH specific goggles is a thin one. Its just a matter of which ones fit better with which helmet and which combination thereof feels most comfortable to you. There is no magic recipe that's going to work for everyone. I've had a couple combos and personally the 100% are the most comfortable to me. They all have adjustable straps. I like the foam to seal the area around my eyes without any real pressure on my face. My fullface has like a groove meant for goggle straps which works well comfort wise. But on my halflid I have to adjust the height of the strap a bit to feel comfortable.

Have you tried Go-MX? (www.go-mx.co.za)

They have a showroom in Table View.

AFAIK they stock a wide range of 100% as well as Fox, Scott and EKS goggles.
