My hydraulic remote lockout is not working , I am told I need a new lockout which costs about R1200.

If I can get hold of a repair kit that costs $15 it can easily be fixed. (R250)

 

Roxshox SA don’t bring in the kit as they rather ..... the customers off.

 

Anyone able to help or at least offer a very good deal on a new one?

Keep a close eye on the classifieds. They come up fairly regularly. Was a new one with hoses etc for R650 a couple weeks go. Just seems to be nothing at the moment

Judging by the look of that one you're in for a new remote anyway - I'll put money on the inside of the bore being damaged from it being turned upside down repeatedly.

 

That said, those things are rubbish. And the service kits, if the local agents were to bring them in, would retail for about R 600.

 

For a little plastic ratchet and an o-ring.

 

That said, I've got a brand new one you can have for R 500, but it's the opposite hand. PM me if you can make it work.

I am on my 2nd remote lockout like that on my lefty and they really are rubbish. Mine have never worked correctly and would much rather have the push button lockout like the PBR models

The service kit is replacing the plastic ratchet ring for a metal one - that one actually lasts.

if the local importer lets you down, look here. You just need a German buddy since, oh surprise, SRAM doesn't ship here.

Thanks for all the input, the lockout are realy weak and don’t last long. If anyone is selling a new one please PM me. If some one can locate the correct kit for this model please send link. Thank you all.
