'Tis the season....

Every club in EPL sees the need for a new stadium...

These old stadiums should be kept. I appreciate they are old ladies and don’t hold as many folks as a new stadium would but that’s part of the allure. I been to Highbury, the dell, Upton Park and to emirates, st Mary’s, London stadium and the new stadiums are just lumps of concrete. I hope Chelsea never move etc etc.

but then, I am an old fart with a romantic view of what football should be

on another note, I managed to get my grubby paws on a hot ticket to Aldershot vs Woking FA vase semi final game on the 5th of April. the stadium holds 7000 odd. Woking and Aldershot are 10 miles apart , the olde foe on the field. It’s going to be magnificent in its atmosphere and songs. Football at Aldershot in the terraces reminds me of the 80’s and it’s full on proper pie and pint stuff. Early morning train, hit the cafe for a proper nosh and a mug of tea, hit a pint at stadium and absorb the vibe. Excited about this game like a kid.

Hopefully the shots make the final then off to Wembley I go.

I see spurs setting records too this season….teehee

I've just listened to Jim, Simon & Martin on Talksport....

Would Spurs' 2024-25 season, finishing with all the records, be considered a failure, IF they went on and won the Europa League?

Of course, as a longstanding Spurs supporter, I cannot see that eventuality, lol.... but, stranger things have happened in football.... (and that's the hope I hang on to...)

What a tepid performance against Fulham on Sanday!!!! And if I'm honest, Fulham are not too shabby this season, but still....!!!

FFS! Our fans couldn't wait to get rid of Sessignon.... so what happens: Fulham take him back on a free, and then he promptly scores against us in his very first game against us!!!! Now THAT'S SPURSY! 🤮

Spurs losing to Fulham cements their season I think. Their goal difference is astounding when viewed in isolation.

Well, it proves again that games can be won or lost in different ways....

But it's even more astounding when reading goal difference in relation to points accumulated!!! Ridiculous!!!

And.... the Fulham game BTW I think is the first game this season that Spurs have lost by more than a single goal...

Correction: The 3-6 loss to Liverpool in December is the only other defeat by more than a single goal

Looking at bottom 3 it’s clear to see there is a chasm that’s widening between clubs newly promoted and existing premiership clubs. Leicester and saints in particular as they were relegated the season before. Ipswich and Leicester walked the championship and been dismal.

I fear for saints. Might end up like Luton in the championship next season. Fighting relegation in the championship. Gonna be a tough season next year for us. There will be no quick bounce back

I'm surprised looking at Villa.... but then again, playing in EPL and competing in Europe is not for sissy's.

At least ManU and Spurs can put everything into the Europa League, with relegation from the EPL looking highly unlikely.
