  1. “Sun’s out, guns out." One of those days when one’s up for it. On my way back around Marine Drive I gunned for and hunted down a young couple tucked on their TT bikes. They were a bit slow, and I may or may not have been boosted by last night’s beans and butternut and cabbage curry pot... Stayed well ahead of them for almost 15k’s and when they passed the guy greeted and said “We thought you might be motorised.” 🤠 This old git also gave it carrots.
  2. Fiona Hewitson, Jos Verstappen’s girlfriend. A bit awkward, one imagines, when one of the text threads is her inquiring how excited she had Horner and him replying that he had to finish himself off in the aircraft toilet. Edit: What a silly plonker Horner is. Shades of Kepler Wessels regarding himself as the rooster, with his teammates’ wives being the occupants of the proverbial henhouse.
  3. Perfect morning for a few hours on a coastal reserve ride.
  4. I see that OG Solskjaer seemed to mirror our comments about Gen Z on another thread. He said that he found that his Gen Z players were somewhat petty. Also, if he asked them to be on-field captain for a particular match and they weren’t up for it, they wouldn’t tell him directly but would get a teammate to convey the message to him.
  5. There are about a half dozen cycle paths in my ‘hood and wide unbusy pavements to ride, and the valley trails are just a few blocks away. Even so, that PoS taxi driver distracted himself by counting cash and ran me down on a dedicated cycle path in 2022. The eedjut was still counting his cash as he got out. A couple of passing drivers stopped to help. I insisted he pay for my wheel damage and pocketed more than enough of his cash for a rim replacement. 😎 Bust ribs and liver bruising and leg cuts took a bit longer to “fix" than my bike, though. Most all taxi drivers around here are sensible and considerate in traffic, until that Mensa no-hoper came along. On a dedicated cycle path, nogal. Bastardo! Has less intelligence than a speed bump.
  6. Like my 10 year old self, I still love rain rides. These conditions look like FUN, but only from my couch. Edit: Ahhh this section clear, simply stunning parkour.
  7. Thanks so much. I have dozens of cricket channels and none of them were showing this. Edit: Great win, klapped the Kiwis.
  8. Just a few 360° stanchion chips, remarkable save.
  9. Attempted sexts to a junior it is, oh shiyaaaatt. Anonymous source, no authentication yet.
  10. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/breaking-paul-pogba-banned-doping-32240168 One of many football tossers tossing it. His Juventus contract runs until 2026, but I guess they’ll be tossing him out. Who ranks up there with the worst of them? Ravel Morrison? Edit: Maradonna? He too faaaarked it up.
  11. As I imagine most of us have done, I’ve also intensely worked long hours under pressure to get through a ton of work. My longest spell was 62 hours without a moment’s break other than to make coffee. My team members worked lesser hours but with the same intensity. They HAD to get everything right at the right time. Perhaps this RB complainant needed closer guidance and direction. I’m convinced that later millenials and Gen Z’s are less willing and perhaps not geared for that. A few more experienced actors have said similar things about their much younger colleagues. With Gen Z’s it seems normal life trials are being pathologised. As an example: Quite a few employers in Europe are finding that Gen Z’s are demanding sick leave for relationship breakups. Nah, really.
  12. She has been and currently remains at work full-time.
  13. Are you playing or involved, mate? Are you still playing? I’d make an effort to catch Friday’s match but I can’t afford to travel to watch cricket any longer, as I once frequently did.
  14. Sheesh, what a sight. Still thrilling to see even though sea rescues and medevacs in storm seas was part of our job, including the Oceanos rescue. If I think back on how risky it sometimes was I find it remarkable how very few rescuers are ever seriously harmed or killed.
  15. Hah! Matt Berry’s always hilarious, I think some of his best work was in Toast of London.
  16. Great design too, clearly not a homage, love the dial too.
  17. I’ve heard of that, that's that thing that people who don’t have yachts do, riiiight?
  18. It only provides a platform for sellers and buyers. Despite their assurances, loads of fong kongs have been sold. They also charge retailers and dealers a fee for each sale, so there’s a good chance that you might get a better deal from an official retailer on eBay. I’ve had good Orient deals on eBay, quick too. The Blue Ray took 3 days to get from midwest USA to my local post office. Despite being only two blocks from me, the post office took 5 days to notify me. 0% duty on watches (just checked the SARS site to ensure it’s unchanged) but you will be charged VAT. I very much like the blue versions of the Mako and Ray and Kamasu, striking sunburst blue dials. Green Kamasu is great too imo.
  19. An ex president hawking shoes now?? That looks like Hulk Hogan’s idea of something classy to wear to the mall. Edit: Just remembered that Zuma hawked socks after his disastrous stint. “Two peas in a pod”, or should that be pees?
  20. Hah! Yes, lost both the rape defamation cases, lost the NY fraud case, lost the presidential immunity case in the capital Appellate Court with a unanimous judgement (including the judge that Trump had appointed). All in just a couple of weeks. Only 91 more felony criminal cases to go...
  21. Limited options as I hardly ever take pics with my visually limited old phone, my phones tend to last for ages.
  22. Nah those allegations usually reflect events as they happened. For one instance, Ronaldo’s fan boys keep dismissing evidence against him as fake. In fact, the leaked transcript from his first Las Vegas Police Department interview was published on the site Football Leaks. It’s just one of many thousands of authentic docs related to footie that were hacked. Ronaldo also added that he’d apologised because he’s not usually that rough. And yet the LVPD declined to prosecute. It’s tough enough gaining a conviction or some kind of acknowledgement through financial compensation. Even in the UK justice system less than 4% of sex assault-rape reports made to police go to court, and only around 1% result in conviction. I’ve seen how slanted against complainants the criminal justice system is wrt sex assaults in the cases of two friends. (Edit: Furthermore, an ex found that even her medical practitioner mom was disbelieving when she reported sex assault in her early teen years by a trusted family friend.) Abused women then also have to deal with the prejudices, or wilful ignorance of actual evidence, from the player’s fanboys. Despicable behaviour and even acknowledgement of guilt is glossed over, as in the Kobe Bryant case. At any rate, no presumption or prejudice against Horner without evidence.
  23. Who are you referring to here?
  24. The former Giro d’Italia winner Tao Geoghegan Hart wrote last year that “the sport of cycling in the UK is at a low that I’ve not seen during my time”. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2024/feb/06/cycling-boom-was-not-here-to-stay-and-lack-of-institutional-will-could-keep-it-away
  25. … or if you can stomach it, how about taken from source? England and pro footballer Andros Townsend’s dietician has him on a plate of chicken feet at supper every day.
