Chap phones me from these long call center type numbers and doesnt budge to send me a "whatsapp" always a story, working overseas, then the bike was for his brother in law, then all the sudden for his wife :P apparently has the exact same bike, so no "coming to check the bike first" necessary.

Have not seen his name on the scammers list, i suspect its the case of one.

so be aware guys.

I took out the email address for the sake of the guys privacy, if for some very odd reason someone knows him and he is legit.

Crap with the guys sending you an email on your add, I should remove that option i think, then you only deal with forum members you can pinpoint to a user account.

anyhoo, till next time guys and girls.

ciao

Sorry for high jacking your post.

I've had a similar dealing with a guy on the hub that sent me a message:

"Sent 26 August 2018 - 09:34

Hi it’s for my mate in centurion. I got one but a year before yours. I am up in Congo flying at the moment. Can you possibly send me a what’s app and then can chat in there. Internet sucks up this side on a good day. "

Not too sure how to handle it? cell number and name wasn't on the Scammer list.

Usually I also check if there's a Facebook account with that name and if he/she has more than 20 friends.

This does work but contrary to popular belief not everyone has a Facebook account....I am one of those.
