Hey KZN hubbers

 

Am heading down to Sheffield Beach for a couple days early October. Taking the road bike down with me and want to know how safe it is to ride either the N2 or R102 up north.

I wouldn't ride on any of those roads.

There are a couple of routes inland, but rather take your mountain bike and smash the trails at holla

Please don't. N2 will get you arrested very quickly, R102 is a truck road, not for cyclists. M4 is an option if you can join a group. Holla has 300km+ of safe trails to ride.

yeah stay clear of the N2.

R102 isnt really bad, but does get busy, same with the M4.

 

You can ride from Sheffield into Ballito and down towards umhlanga/la mercy on the M4.
