David sê die doel van die fietstoer is om geld vir tehuise in te samel.“Ek wil geld vir twee tehuise insamel om weer die kollig op bejaardes te vestig.” Hy sê sy talent was die grootste motivering vir die projek. “Ek het gevoel ek kan my sport gebruik om die gemeenskap te help. Dis toe wat ek gedoen het.” David is van Kaapstad en werk as ’n kelner. Hy neem gereeld aan fietsrykompetisies deel en sê dit is ’n sport wat hy geniet.
