I doubted myself ????

you must never ????

I heard some people make that comment that it was tougher than Attakwas????

I’m still trying to decide which of the 2 is thougher because I didn’t exactly rock up fresh as a daisy so mixed feelings right now.

For me, it was surely tough-e-rer than Atta.....but hey, maybe my rigid fork of yesterday had something to do with it  :whistling:

Don't think you can really compare the two events: Atta and Big5. Different beasts. Prefer the Big5 - but that's because i'm a singletrack junkie and downhill shredder. And strangely, i'm getting used to all the up, and up, and up.....just pacing is my key. Overall I think it is easier to pace yourself at Atta....Big5 gives you no rest.

Oh yes, forgot to mention the goodie bag earlier. Impressive content. Well done once again to Ellane and the team.

Side note: 270 entered and 206 pitched. Seems some nerves got the better of quite a few! But only 16 DNF'd....that's pretty good going methinks.

I was told this morning that 3 of those DNF's were actually, mechanical & illness & not really ability to not be able to complete the route. I also know of one guy that had muscle pain & withdrew 20kms in.
