Sitting@89 Posted December 6, 2018 Share Looking for the best option for aluminum “semi aero” (40mm) profile rim to build onto some hope hubs, so far the best option seems to be the Alexrims R600 (42mm depth) but I want to know if the weight penalty (120g per rim) is worth the aero gains over the Alexrims cx35 (35mm depth). Worth noting I am a big (2,08m 130kg) rider so climbs are not my strong suit, but I can put some decent power down on the flats Edited December 7, 2018 by Sitting@
Cippo Posted December 6, 2018 Share You might be better off with a semi-aero wheel like like 25-30 as they are lighter as well in the 1500g region per pair. You will gain more advantage by going faster on the climbs. Not much aero advantage in a bunch really unless you are in front.
DieselnDust Posted December 6, 2018 Share Look into boyd cycling rims. They have some nice options but they are pricey and you will have to import
