Still not sure how you can ride those pressures. They just seem way too low, unless you never encounter rocks etc.

But glad you like the upgrade, in my view the best upgrades are

* Proper tyres, particularly the front (nice and grippy, at minimum Ibex 2.25)

** Dropper

*** wide handlebar

**** Proper brakes with the correct size rotors

***** Nice wide rims

I'd rather ride the above on a hardtail with proper geometry than none of the above on Nino's bike

I would agree on the brakes, bars (std width ok for me), the tyres and the wide rims...There have been a few times I would have liked a dropper but for me the clutter it adds to the cockpit, plus weight, plus workload plus maintenance don't justify - But that's just my taste..

Always interesting when people ask for advice, then just refuses to listen to what like every second person said.

Your tires are to soft, that is why they were squirming.

If you hit proper rocky at speed with those pressures you're going to flat!

Maybe you should have read the OP.

At 1.2 and 1.7 they were squirming on my original rims. Now on the wider rims at 1.1 and 1.3 they are much firmer.

ALSO - the only "advice" I was looking for was to rate the Rapide rims...I wasn't asking for tyre pressure advice.

You have missed the point by a wide margin....
