About the Event

Rooibos2Muisbos is proudly presented by Rooibos Ltd.

It is a new, untimed, 1-day Mountain biking event which takes place on Saturday 27 July 2019.

There will be two distances:

The Long ride of 112km starts at Sederberg Primary School in Clanwilliam and the Short ride of 38km starts at Graafwater High School in Graafwater.

The finish is at Malkoppan Caravan Park which is approximately 5km outside Lambert’s Bay.

General

Pre registration for both distances will take place at Sederberg Primary in Clanwilliam from 17h00-21h00 on Friday 26 July 2019. On Saturday, event day, registration for the long route only will open from 05h00 at Sederberg Primary in Clanwilliam and for the short route only from 07h00 at Graafwater High School.

Entries close Saturday 20 July 2019.

The nature of the route is such that you must come prepared for “duwweltjies”, the infamous 3-pronged thorn of the Sandveld.

This specifically applies to the last 38km so please ensure your tires are topped up with sealant.

The finish is at the Malkoppan Caravan Park which is approximately 5km south of Lambert’s Bay and is located opposite the world famous Muisbosskerm Restaurant.

The finish will coincide with the month end Farmers' market at the park which guarantees entertainment for the whole family.

Please join us after the event for an evening of food and music at Muisbosskerm.

Information regarding the booking of the meals is available on our website – Event Checklist.

A special goodie bag will be given to the first 300 entrants.

Suggestion to organisers: go shoot some (good) photographs of the route and showcase them on your burgeoning web site (and here). Sounds like what can be a really great event.
