Got this today . Knew nothing about this brand until today . Chesini has been making bicycles for 90 years and is still doing it . This one came with a branded Chesini saddle and pump . Groupset unfortunately old Shimano . Can't see a serial nr would love to date it

I got one while back and had also never heard of them before.

 

A good resource is Steel-vintage.com I browsed through their past sales and found some examples with dates.

 

If it looks original then maybe the component dates might get you close to dating it.

 

BTW I think many of them came out originally with Shimano groupsets, mine has 8 speed 105 so from the early 90's

Chesini had representation in SA (Cape Town) until about 2004/5. Hand built in Verona Italy. Models sold here were primarily Aluminium (Deda tubing) and a handful of carbon frames. Campag equipped. Great frames, with even better craftmanship.

It is definitely older than 16 years so it is legal to date it. 

 

Weird, but legal and each to his own I say.....
