Yes but before 7:00, thereafter the road will be closed.

Larry can you perhaps confirm if supporters will still be able to get through to Loskop on the N11 anytime before 7:00 or will 6:00 be strictly enforced?  (As due to some logistical issue we can only be in Mdb 6:15-ish)

TIA

Some feedback from a weekend warrior (A bit late I guess)

This was a great race and all of the people I spoke to said that they will be back next year (we were about 10 from our club that made the trek to MP).

The route was great and fast.  The road surface was not bad at all and the traffic was very quiet.  I understand that it was supposed to be full road closure but unfortunately we have to rely on others to provide it.  The couple of vehicles that did slip through was really not an issue.

The start was OK, nothing major but I think the situation with the loo's was avoidable and should be addressed for next year (if the start is to remain the same).

The only major change I would like to see is markings on the road where there are holes or uneven surfaces.  There was quite a few awesome downhills with the odd pothole and it would have been great if we had some green or yellow paint on the road to warn us.  This is nothing major and Im not sure its allowed, but as few races in the Eastrand does this and it really does help the cyclist.

Some of my teamies used the bus back to the start and they were impressed with how the bikes were packed and shuttled back to the start.

All in all a very lekker race, WELL DONE to the organizers.  There is no reason why this race should not have 1000+ riders.

Last note, there was a lady that did the ride on her e-bike.  I dont know how this was handled by the organizers or whether there was a category that catered for this.  No major issue from my side other than the fact that it might give her an awesome seeding in future races, which I feel is a tad unfair (not that it affects me in the least).

Agree, it was the best race ever for us WW as well.  Nice and interesting route, scenery, great (and friendly!) organisation etc.

I believe next years race will start at Loskop?  So it will be either N11S &| N11N.  Must say, I enjoyed cycling the same route (+ a bit) as the Loskop 50km run but A->B does require some 'logistical maneuvering'.
