Cheapest entry level Road bike

Im obviously out of touch and a cheapskate..my idea of entry level is like 3 to 5 k

Unfortunately 5k on a new bike these days will just get you hassles.

 

That Sora specced BMC from bikemarket would definitely be my first port of call in your price range.

That was a great deal! With ultegra nogal! Those aluminium Caads are great frames and easily as light as some top end carbon ones - take the poor thing outside for a good run and it'll love you forever!  ;)  :)

This Canondale is now a permanent trainer.  :thumbup:

 

LOVE this rig  :clap:   :clap:   So nice to get miles in the saddle, while it is raining outside .....

 

 

 

 

 

Still FAR prefer my MTB on the trails !!!   :whistling:

I second the previous suggestion about Decathlon's BTWIN / TRiban bicycles. If you google the Triban 100 and Triban 500 you will get some great reviews:

i bought a Triban 100 recently and am using it as a Trainer and building it up as a gravel bike and think that its a simple no-nonsense bicycle
