Long Wheel Base Posted June 30, 2020 Share I am going to be completely out the running this year. Been working from home since lock down started, and it looks like I will still be working from here for the foreseeable future. As long as you don't start running........... Hairy Posted June 30, 2020 Share As long as you don't start running...........I only run when the police chase me ... and I have not been walking on the beach, so I should be safe Albatross and Long Wheel Base
Albatross Posted June 30, 2020 Share Also WFH but had to go to office today so dusted off the commuter for a ride in. Found the normal entrance closed due to an unsafe 120m weather mast so had to nip up onto the R27 (Scary road for traffic). I survived and the weather was mint today! wildwindfr Posted June 30, 2020 Share Must say, I have been a wimp this year. Have hardly ridden at all the last month.Between the cold and dark, combined with total fatigue from work. Will see when I will start riding again. Not a normal year for anyone. Long Wheel Base Posted July 2, 2020 Share Must say, I have been a wimp this year. Have hardly ridden at all the last month.Between the cold and dark, combined with total fatigue from work. Will see when I will start riding again. Not a normal year for anyone.I've been riding a bit, but not commuting. I take the lighties out for a ride. But now with the cold I either have to go in the afternoon or not at all. This is the rig I use, it's a good workout pulling three kidsBut the little buggy at the back is getting a bit small for the twins so busy with this now but I haven't ridden it yet. It's longer than my Bakkie. Andrew64, Albatross, Hairy and 3 others

Bateleur1 Posted July 30, 2020 Share Ok it seems I might get an opportunity to get back into the game. I will propably not be able to put up the milage like I used to but it might be something. My oldest will start at a new school in September, much closer to home than her previous. I am hoping she will commute by bike the odd 3-4 km commute. Would it be considered a legit commute if I ride with her instead of taking her by car? If the answer is yes must I stop the garming and record the return trip (which most propably might be a bit of a detour back home)? Long Wheel Base Posted July 30, 2020 Share I'm coming for you LWBThe spot is yours bud. I won't be commuting for a few months still unfortunately. There is only one entrance open for us and it's usually not open for bicycles, although they are allowing guys to come through with bikes but it really isn't bicycle friendly. I watched a guy try maneuver himself and his bike through the turnstile the other day and there is no way I will treat any of my bikes like that.
