My bike is slightly too long for my thule platform rack. When I do use it, I make use of a racthet strap. Over the top tube thru, thru the pedals and hooks onto the platform. Once the strap is tensioned, the bike aint moving.

Pool noodle sliced open (one with a hole in the middle), put that over the upright tubes, then a velcro loop strap or something similar to secure the frame to it
