Hi Guys,

I would like to ask for some advice please.

A mate of mine if looking to upgrade his mint stumpjumper 2019 comp carbon (raw carbon colour) to the new enduro.

Only problem is that he needs to sell his frame in order to do that. The question is we dont know for how much.

Would you guys have any idea what a good as new 2019/2020 medium stumpjumper frame, including Fox Float DPS Performance rear shock (140mm) and Thru Axle.

Your assistance is always appreciated.

Regards

My suggestion would be to make contact with the Specialized dealer and take it from there. You basically need to know what the price of a new frame is and then take into consideration the times we are currently living in along with the how quickly he would like to move the frame

My 2c worth as someone that has been on the bike buy / frame buy and build mission the last 7 months.

I spoke to a Spez dealer some time back on used bike values and this is what I was told.

A new bike looses 40% of its value up until year one. Thereafter deduct about 10% from that figure per year.

I'm unassuming the same goes for a frame. As RobertW mentioned previously go find out what a new frame cost back when you bought your bike and deduct accordingly to the scale mentioned. Then also think of the mess the economy is in and ask for offers on your frame. Your frame is worth what you sell it for, not what a lowballer offers you, not what you think its worth or would like it to be, nor what others are quick to "evaluate" but actually don't have the money to buy it.

Its worth a solid offer backed up by a sale...that's what its worth.
