My thoughts exactly. Also you know when the marketers use absurd language like unicorn hair they intend to charge equally absurd prices for everything. Unicorn hair, just like unicorn pooh smells like bs to me. I'm not saying it isn't incrementally better but you do have to ask how deep into the land of diminishing returns you want to go.

 

Remember, the top end bikes are not built for us mortals, they are built for the pros who race and try win. And at that level, a ball hair can be the difference between first and second. So diminishing returns hardly matters to the manufacturer - its all about the win. Luckily for the manufacturers there are incredibly wealthy (and incredibly stupid) mortals who by into unicorn hair, so they can make these frames and have a market for them.
