Sram Apex 1 Compatibility

Quick question, is a SRAM Apex 1 shifter compatible with a 11 speed Shimano SLX M7000 Rear Derailleur?

Done some googling but still not sure about these pull ratios.

I dont think so.

My understanding (as a general rule) is that SRAM does not work with Shimano. Even within Shimano, road and mtb groupsets dont work with each other!

 

I am not sure if SRAM road and mtb 11 speed groupsets work with each other (they may as the 10 speed groupsets have the same pull)

SRAM 11 speed MTB NX shifter works with Shimano 11 speed SLX MTB rear derailleur.

Check this out, the SRAM 11 speed MTB shifter / derailleur combination is pretty close to the Shimano in cable pull and derailleur ratio.

 

I swapped the SRAM 11 NX speed derailleur with an SLX 7000 on my wife's Merida and it works very well. Shifter is SRAM 11 speed.
