I bought a second hand MTB. Very happy with is but the coil suspension has very little sag. Is there a way of softening the coils? Maybe stretch and cut or is there replacement coils available? Any advice please. Dont want to replace the omplete fork. Thank you.

They normally have a preload adjuster on the top of the fork leg, sometimes only on one leg and sometimes on both legs, make sure they are turned all the way out, other than that I can't help

Thank you. I checked that, already turned all the way to the minus sign.

You want the pre-load dialed all the way up, to the plus side, and then wind it down till you get the requited sag.

Remember, the more preload you have dailed in, the less inertia is required to get the fork moving through its travel.

Is anyone gonna start with what fork this is???

Depending on whether this is a high end or entry level coil fork the actual coils are replaceable to suit your weight. What is the fork make and model?
