Some interesting things to note:

Overall, this stage was pretty much LSD/Active Recovery for these guys.

All 3 guys did 10minutes at higher than 110% FTP - flat out VO2Max levels in the leadout.

All three files are almost identical, the team had a plan right from the start of the stage.

Even if it was a LSD ridem, Its nice to see that most of those guys are clipping along at less than 200 watts for most of the race, makes them seem more normal.

Where did you get those stats, I would like to see them on Sat / Sun

Really amazing, it freaks me out to see the power they put out, if i sprint full out i can't even get there!!!!!!!!

Truly amazing!!! Where do you get this info?? I would love to look at power stats for more of the guys and other stages etc.

The files of some of the riders get posted on www.cyclingpeaks.com not everybody.

I have done some marking up of the files to extract the info that I am showing above - otherwise there would be data overload.

They are posting Adam Hansen's file everyday, which is really cool because we can start to see just how much fatigue these guys accumulate through the tour.

I'll post some summary info on Adam in a short while.

Foe' date=' i don't know if riding 230km at around 200 watts is really that easy...[/quote']

It is achievable, I rode 275w for 5h45 at the Double Century.  The problem is doing it day after day.

Hansen rode over 300w for 5h23 on Stage 1, then similar again on Stage 2, etc etc etc.

Hincapie avg almost 60 km per hour for 11minutes and he's max was 75,as far as I know the road was pretty flat towards the end so that is very impresive!!Clap

Looks like Hansen and Hincapie has almost identical FTP value's.

The files give same weight and FTP for all 3 riders, so I suspect the data has been changed a bit to protect the riders.

Looking at the last couple of stages' date='what would your estimate for he's ftp be?

[/quote']

FTP is stated in the files as 400w

This I think is correct - generally the power output you can sustain decreases by 10% per hour that you ride.  So, for a hard 4 hour stage his numbers should be in the low 300's for the overall ride.
