MajG Posted July 12, 2022 Share Always preferred shimano feel of lever and more precise when shifting. Had 1 too many sram nx and gx derailleurs snapping on me n frequently needing to be fine tuned. Like for like, shimano definitely better buy and reliability. However still comes down to the guy tuning it, however I know you ontop of that so should be good. Go shimano dasilvarsa and MTBRIDER1234 1

Also any chance you could send pics of the can fix, as it will be a useful thing to know if I ever need it in future XX1 bolt kit is the same price as a new Deore derailleur. Loctite does not work when parts don't have a snug fit.

XX1 bolt kit is 430 ish rand... deore derailleur is about 1000 I guess you may have a point, but they spec the derailleur with low strength loctite on the mounting bolt, so it must do something, otherwise SRAM are just throwing money away

Go shimano Definitely Shimano feels miles better, I only got the SRAM as it was on sale If the derailleur and shifter go, then I would look at SLX or XT 12 speed Edited July 13, 2022 by MTBRIDER1234 TheoG
TheoG Posted July 13, 2022 Share The only SCRAM I own is a NX 12 speed cassette on my indoor trainer where it actually doesn't matter. Will stick to Shimano everywhere else. 117, quintonb, MTBRIDER1234 and 1 other
DuncanDoughnuts Posted July 14, 2022 Share If you going SLX ... you will need to get a new freehub body (factor that cost in as-well) GX uses XD 11 speed SLX uses HG 12 speed SLX uses Microspline MTBRIDER1234
