Sorry to read about this as it happened recently and i travel that road. This is a dumb question but cant the chip be tracked on the front wheel or is it just for race days and there equipment ?

The RaceTec chip is only registered when passing over their timing mats.

 

Not suitable for tracking.

It was a silly Q, but thought that by some miracle it could assist.
