  1. Wow. This thread is a GEM! Also, I'm not buying the oopsie daisy I didn't know it was a 4.5k ebike with a "faulty" (ahem missing) battery. Hell. The components alone are worth than x20 that. The bike legally goes back to the original owner. And the deelers and the steelers must mar go sit in court and face the music.
  2. Bring back the advert comments.
  3. Myself and one of my riding buddies have been on Lyne AMP rims for a while now. Me, almost a year. Him about 3 years. They are very strong and if they fail it's almost certainly rider fault, but you can count on Dale to sort you out relatively quick. I'm really heavy and my mate's just heavy. We ride really stupid and tend to be hard on wheels. These have the quad thumbs up from us. Just put in a rear insert before an Enduro at conties.
  4. 37 Permalescent male. 190cm 18-19cm 125-127kg XL mtb. 58cm gravel. Anyting catchy really.
  5. It's frriyyyaaayyyyy!
  6. Ive heard of demo helmets making rounds. Think leatt did that back in the day. Otherwise just ask a buddy if you can wear his/her helmet around the block. Unless you are seriously coodiephobic. (would be ironic since we cyclists tend to use water points and porta loos at races.)
  7. Of course. But I expected the inner surface interface that they market as "ball and socket" to at least be spherical. It ain't.
  8. So. On the MIPS thing again. Did some research. The solution to the cam-like rotation lockout would have been a semisphere inside the outer shell that can rotate freely. I was surprised to find MIPS SPHERICAL. Looks like everyone were thinking the same thing.... Exept that the deemed spherical helmets don't have an inner spherical profile. More half egg shape. This would still cause an eventual lockout/jamming point and ramp up in rotational acceleration. Ugh. Correct name. Wrong shape. Should be called MIPS OVOID.
  9. Maybe sticking to 20" for weight saving as long as possible isn't a bad idea
  10. @Jewbacca... How willing are you to make a primary school xco bike for monetary exchange... Sounds like you have this down to a T
  11. On the same topic of kiddies race bikes. My son is 7. And really excelling in terms of skill on mtb. Does most of the blue/green 5 routes. I have to help him to to the top occasionally as his bike weighs probably close to 30% of his body weight (he's lightweight chassis like his mom) . I know earlyrider focus on this a little bit. But what @Jewbacca mentioned made me think. Maybe a little project bike for him won't be the worst of type 2 fun. Has anyone imported xs 26er carbon hardtail frames here before? I'm thinking of building with 24 wheels first and then switching up. Should last him through most of primary school. Maybe make long climbs a bit more fun.
  12. Like I said. Unpopular opinion. Not PhD peer review proven fact. Just daily pattern recognition. Completely willing to eat my hat if proven the stuff works as well as advertised.
  13. I go with fox. Fits my head. Breathes well. Adjustable straps and fidlock mechanism. Happens to have MIPS. Unpopular opinion. MIPS is a scam. Works on dummies that don't possess scalp soft tissue. Not much more than a gimmick on live wearers. We all have scalp soft tissues that do much more than MIPS. Can confirm from thousands of CT scans that the scalp plays a major absorbtive role in ameliorating glancing/rotating injuries. Diffuse axonal injuries that demonstrate rotational site mechanism is often seen in cases with an intact scalp and rotation was forced due to the natural head shape. Think cam type linear-rotary translation. If I had to ad value to helmets, I'd get the outer surface (not the absorbtive layer) as hard and snagg free as possible. Much more likely to eliminate additional rotational acceleration by not getting hooked on some rocks whilst taking a fast tumble.
  14. But I mean... Facebook? Isn't that a boomer thing?
  15. I'd say the dropper being extended as a standard seapost, the game oem pedals, the saddle angle... This bike hasn't been respected for quite a while. And who joins Facebook 2023? Burner account?
  16. Woah boet! On this beautiful windy Sunday?
  17. Man. Ek dog dit lyk kwaai virrie skêre. Toe backfire my plan om slick te lyk.
  18. Decided I was going to give my indola button shirt a chance to prove it's ability to keep the sun off my neck... Did that and made a nice parachute of itself in the wind. Knoophemp cycling shirts belong on the mtb trails.
  19. Is there any way to expedite the man hunt for this hit and runner? I'm just worried they give the "cctv loop expired/overwritten" sorry by the time te docket ends up on the detectives table.
  20. Post some pics here tomorrow. Hubber will let you know ASAP. 8k sounds lekker duur
