Nuy Festival MTB

Anyone else riding this tomorrow? Seems they have gone out of their way to promote this event as little as possible.

17km Ride The Vines - R150 - Start: 8 :00
35km Ride The Vines - R220 - Start: 7:45
60km Ride The Vines - R280 - Start: 7:15

Venue is the same as per usual, Olive Creek - but the route is all new. Going to be a tad on the cold side by the looks of things.

Nuy, I didn't know this event even existed. But I'd not mind a few cases of Koffiepit Pinotage from Nuy. I still have some Chant de Nuy in the fridge, and maybe one or two bottles of Pinotage and Shiraz left. If you're going, stock up on the good stuff since they go out of their way not to supply your local wineries.

This was Maritz's very first event in 2017.

I did the longer route the next year.

Pity I did not know it was back on the calendar ....

I should have posted it here in events sooner - will do so in future.

Took me a lot of searching to find the event. I have no idea why organisers are not promoting events anymore - there was about 15 of us that did the 60KM today. A very cool new route - even cooler if you do not pay attention, miss a marker and add 6km to the route.

Fine Breede I think is dead, like autumn splendour and Keeromberg.
