If it's still under warranty and the buyer wants it replaced, considering the 2nd owner warranty BS -  then i would agree

If it's out of warranty and the buyer takes it to Garmin to be repaired and they choose to either repair it at a fee or offer you a new one at a discounted price - I see no problem with that.
