Myself and 2 mates rode the area after 5pm. Obviously very busy with on a Friday afternoon

Map pin suggests that it wasn't in fact Lover's Walk but rather nearer to Wynberg pharmacy residential area. Bit confused..

It happened at 06:20 on Saturday morning. Riding up Lover's Walk next to Wynberg Boys.

I'm assuming you're aware that security cameras in the road  picked up the incident and identified the car?

How exactly were they caught? Are they opportunist or bike thieves

Great to hear these buggers have been caught. It's just a matter of time before they get nabbed when they start to get this brazen.

I was lucky enough to spend some time at the City's Incident Command Office last week and I can with all confidence say that the City is doing an incredible job of setting up a tech network that's going to make these thieving bastards world very small.
