Gumpole Posted July 17, 2008 Share I'll ALWAYS watch the mountain stages, love the pain, the fans, the descents... apart from that I have pretty much lost interest: Sprints: Petacchi, Boonen aren't in the race, McEwen and Hunter are not performing.... only redeeming factor is Cavendish. Mountains: Ricco banned, rasmussen banned, contador, basso banned.. Valverde very disappointing White Jersey - never interested me in the past Yellow: LA retired, Jan + Basso banned retired, vino, Contador, rusmussen, etc etc etc banned. So quality wise its like watching the Vuelta where most of the stars are missing. Hopefully the Evans/ Schleck/ Sastre dual will liven things up. Its like watching a hollywood movie - back in your mind you know nobody can jump out of a car at that speed and survive, but you watch it anyway, - same here, I will always be thinking, No,No, thats not possible, but it has its entertainment value.
