Ai-Ai . Looks like you blokes got problems pointing a high pressure washer at the right place !!! There are only about 3 areas where you should not use your pressure thingy . The BB ' date=' HS and hubs . It is really very easy to point that thing to just clean your front derailure or any other difficult to reach places . And even if you do happen to get a little water on above it will not stop working or damage it . Been doing it for years on my 3 DS and one HT without problems . [/quote']

Make a solution of petrol and cleen green, pump it through a high pressure cleaner and pay close attention to directing the high pressure jet at the bearings. Be sure to dispose of used solution somewhere nice like Camps Bay beach or something.

pookie.... please do not take this advice seriously, spraying petrol under pressure is extremely dangerous!!!!!!!!..... TNT1 is one of the spoilers so prevelant on the Hub nowadays who is intent in making it a place where nobody really wants to be.

Personally, I find TNT1/BTB's comments hilarious and look forward to them much more than some inane drivel about the blue bulls or how shimano saved someones life.

but then again, I'm probably one of the spoilers who also makes it a place no-one really wants to be...

Hey Pookie... I'm not gonna read through all these replies, so I'll just add my tip-of-the-day. Wash your bike as soon as you can after the ride. Specially after 'n muddy ride. If you went through some really tuff stuff, you will struggle to get it off a day later, even with a hp hose. I just wash when I get home, before even taking a shower myself.

I use very diluted Clean Green to wash the bike and chain, and then rinse it with a water. Use WD40 to get rid of the water stuck in the chain. I don't always do this, it depends on how dirty the chain was. Then I lube with Finish Line Dry (Red one). Lube the both the derailleurs' moving parts (that's all the pivot points, pulleys etc.) with the same stuff. It's the best one of the lot, for riding in the dry conditions around here in Centurion. Then store the bike in it's little house, underneath it's warm blanket... Then you go on with the rest of your day... Tjirs, happy riding
