GravDuro powered by Westvaal Somerset West Isuzu | 1 June 2025, Trail's End Bike Hotel

The thrill of Gravel Racing meets the relaxed atmosphere of Enduro Riding. Hammer it along some of the most iconic sections in the Western Cape. Venture into Oak Valley, Paul Cluver and up the infamous Hans se Kop Climb. The whole thing isn’t a race, you will get a timing chip at registration which will be your timing chip on this Gravel / Enduro event. Enjoy a relaxed start and social liaison sections before you get to hammer it out for Stages of the whole route. Take on 6 or 4 timed GravDuro Stages throughout the day, making up a total timed distance of 83kms or 58kms respectively.

Setting off from Trails End Bike Hotel in Grabouw on the 1st of June 2025, this first-time Gravel / Enduro event will be run and led by the team from Red Cherry Events.

@Red Cherry Events have you guys given thought to taking over and keeping Eroica alive? Also follows the same format, and also a great event that I would be sad to see disappear from the calendar!

Dear Eroici. There have been a lot of questions about Eroica South Africa 2025 … as you may know, Donnet and I have decided not to continue managing the event. It’s been a lot of fun and we are very proud of what Eroica South Africa has become, but we simply have other interests we’d like to pursue. It’s time for someone else to take the reins. 

Eroica in Italy have been in talks for months with a few local parties regarding taking over the event, but as of now no decision has been reached. For now, assume there will be no Eroica South Africa event in 2025. 

If any new information becomes available about the future of Eroica South Africa it will be released on social media, so keep an eye on the Eroica accounts : )
