So I have read many a review on the Forum about the Titan Hades specifically the 24 9R as that was the route I wanted to buy for the two kids (Girl and Boy) but I have also now been offered a Signal Starlet

can anyone give their opinion on them, they seem specked nicely and have a few things I like over the Titan Hades.

please can someone give thoughts

I have been looking for preowned in the Hades range either 24D or the 24 9R

I like the way they look but keep missing the deals in preowned cant afford 2 new one bikes so hoping for some good preowned bikes hence the reason to look for a different brand

Also left this purchase late I need them for Christmas

I suggest you look second hand and get the lightest you can afford. Momsen also make nice kids bikes. Especially if you can find one in the superlight range.

TITAN is the way to go.

Signal tried the same formula, but never got the numbers to make their business model work ... not to the extent that @Titan Racing Bikes did.

Friends are now looking for a 24" .... many bike shops and many options later ..... TITAN just comes out tops again and again.

A question, if I may. @habib and @varkie2

What do you see as a reasonable price for a second hand kids bike ?  Looking at something like the Titan 24-9er ?

We bought one of their 1x9, hydraulic disc brake, air shock models.  It was the "Pro" edition of the 24-9er at the time -

Immediately bought the parts and upgraded it to a 1x11 Shimano SLX.

11-46 at the back, and a 32 (I think) at the front

Unfortunately I used the 1x9 parts to help out a friend .... now it seems keeping the bike for spare parts is worth more than I can get for it   (I have a couple of 1x11 bikes)

Maritz had a couple of goods rides on this ... and then grew into the Green Bike.

We are only at the 20" stage of the bicycle journey, however, whenever I start the new bike search Titan Racing always comes out tops in the end. Have really fallen in love with the brand. The quality of the bikes we have had has been superb and very good attention to detail is given. We have had a Titan Hades 16" and now 20". We opted for their lite model, which comes with a rigid fork and does a lot to keep the weight done and so far he has yet to be in need of a suspension fork. Only upgrade I would look into would be some trigger shifters for the gears. The grip shift works perfectly fine, but just isn't as nice.

Next bike along will very likely be a Titan Racing too. Have a good look around, as there are often specials floating around on the Titan Racing Hades bikes.

Hey Chris

so it all depends on overall condition I would love to buy a Great condition at like R4500-R5000.00 with all the upgrads already done like trigger shifters etc...

but what I can afford is R3500.00 around each which would be from what I can see a neat but used stock standard.
