Yeah, it was a great day out for me as well.
I did the 50 miler.
I managed to trim some time off last year’s one, so happy .
Definitely some lekker corrugated spots that sometimes caught me by surprise!

Thankfully i didn’t have any handlebar slipping this time around.

Reckon I’ll be back again next year if weather plays its part.

Always a fun day out. I'm going to say it was more rutted than last year (purely to explain my slower time than last year 😂).

Also much warmer than expected, but did appreciate the well stocked aid stations.

Got caught out by that same last "round the farmhouse" bit as last year where the signage was lacking, but aside from that this will always be a staple on my calendar.

i think i heard them say > 700 entrants - i can easily see this becoming a mass attendance event to the likes of 99er etc

the organisation, weather etc was fantastic

I came across someone who went down near the beginning of that section, he looked okay overall , just a bit bloody on the arm

Happened 2 riders infront of me. He looked bad there but went over the line fine. Was looking for a marshal to see if he was concussed but didnt fond one. Just glad he is ok

Are you the big dude?  , we might have crossed together . I’m the other big dude😂

I generally lift my front wheel when I approach some muddy bits or small puddles. I washed my kit immediately once i got home and it’s clean.
