Rough test for a DIY rocker plate.
Some retainer edges for the balls (will provide space to double up on them) will instill some confidence that it is going nowhere.

Rocker plates make the indoor riding experience so much better, strange that it never took off, love mine though and the Kickr move is probably testament to its benefits as well.

Has anyone got an inexpensive solution to replace the front wheel of a bike when on a trainer (kickR)?

I'm a bit tight for space and being able to do away with the front wheel and replace it with some sort of stand would be great.Β

ThanksΒ

Can’t say I’m brimming with confidence at these ideas being that I jumped my front wheel off the block the other day, but they’re something at least. Realistically I’m not sure how much space you’d save. Google β€œfork stand trainer” for more.Β

Thanks, quite like the Jack stand idea as it gives height adjustment. Something to think about while slowly dying of boredom on the trainer πŸ‘πŸΌ

It's to get that 'no chain' (IYKYK) feeling!

I do not. Although, I once had a bicycle serviced by a Le Temu Shop, and the 12 speed chain andΒ 11 speed Sunshine cassette they fitted, slipping over each other might have come close!

You would have to have read one of the books even libraries don't keep by that oke that didn't win the tour 7 times to know

Hincapie seemingly said when you have good legs 'it feels like riding with no chain' ... or some or other elusive mojo like that
