Cape Epic ABSA entry and hospitality - what’s the deal?

How does this work? I’ve heard you need to buy your own entry still, but then ABSA takes care of the rest (training camps, kit, accommodation, food, massages, etc)?

People have stuff to do on a weekend 😉 …. Are you banking with ABSA? Then the first port of call would be with your banker or closest branch manager.

Please provide some context as to the question; has the bank invited you to ride Epic?

In essence ABSA as the key sponsor has a bunch of entries they distribute to key customers for the actual race. During the event ABSA has a  massive tent for the invited riders where they can eat, shower etc.... if you can get in there it is a real bonus vs having to schlep around the race village.

In addition , ABSA also sponsors a series of training camps to which thee invites riders are invited as well as riders from some developmental initiatives the bank is part of

Thanks. Context—this came via a business partner at ABSA (from their corporate and investment banking side, not marketing or events). They mentioned that they can nominate our company to have a team take part, but it sounds like you still need to get your own entry ticket. ABSA then provides support such as training camps leading up to the race, physios, medical and bike support, kit, accommodation, etc.

I just wanted to check if this matches the experience of others as well?

Just access to their hospitality tent is worth it .... accommodation and training camps lekker bonusses.

I would take the nomination and take things from there

Has anyone gotten invites or confirmation for the hospitality? I have spoken to my banker about 3 weeks ago and someone from the event’s side and they said they were busy finalising lists and would be in contact soon. I think I might have missed the cut…

It seems some riders already received invites beginnig of November. Anyone else received an invite? I am hoping they go out in batches…
