Please forgive my ignorance, I am new to the cycling scene. I understand that I need a CSA license to race, and if I don't have one, then I can purchase a day license. When on the CSA website, there is an option for a CSA membership, does this qualify for the license one needs for races or do I have to purchase a full domestic race license? I am far from the level needed to compete provincially and nationally.

As above ... just a normal membership.

The other option is to buy a day license for each race .... if you do more than about 5 CSA santioned events per year it is cheaper and less schlep to just buy the annual membership.

Membership is for the next 365 days.  So NO need to wait for January for a calender year membership.

Same membership applies to road and MTB races ... most probably to gravel events.

So I belong to a Club, but when i try and renew my CSA membership to add a racing license nothing happens dispite paying as the CSA website cannot verify my Mobile number as it no longer can send you the SMS to verify your number, this has been going on for over two months.

Is anyone else having this issue?
